Week 1 Summary

I have finally made it to the end of week 1! I have to say I feel amazing. The detox week was really hard at first but after about 3 days I had more energy than ever before. Some examples of food I ate:
1. Grilled Chicken
2. Green Giant Cauliflower Rice ( MY LIFE SAVER)
3. Broccoli
4. Asparagus
5. Salmon
I like to keep things as simple as possible so I rotated through my meals with those 5 things. I have to eat on the go a lot so the ability to microwave was very helpful.

I would like to touch on the good and bad a little bit...

Let's start with the bad. Following a plan like this definitely puts a damper on your social life. I spent more nights at home this past week and when I did go out with some friends to a concert on Saturday night it was tough. I  managed to stick to my meals but alcohol was definitely a struggle. Most people know I am a craft beer nerd and it was very difficult for me stay away from it. I stuck to vodka soda with lime and even that was a stretch since the plan calls for no alcohol in the first week. I could also do better with my water intake. I  get pretty bored with water quickly and know that it is something I need to work on.

Now it is time for the good. The good definitely out weighs the bad. I already touched on this but I have way more energy. My days were very productive. My workouts were successful. I will probably have more money from staying at home so much. :) Oh and do not let me forget that I LOST 6 LBS. I feel absolutely amazing and cannot wait for week two. I am ready to add healthy fats back to my diet.
