Weeks 2 and 3

I am still feeling fantastic doing this challenge. My weeks 2 and 3 are a little skewed weight loss wise though. Every year during the first three weeks of December I participate in a 1 RM squat program called Smolov Jr. at crossfit. We started the program right before Thanksgiving and my 1 RM squat was 205 lbs. I have suffered some knee struggles so I was pretty shocked and happy with this number. For the last 3 weeks I have been squatting and working on muscle building in my legs 4 days a week. I one rep tested again Monday of this week and my new 1 RM back squat is 235 lbs. I am ecstatic about this number. That is 30 lbs increase in only 3 weeks!!  I  have also set a goal to reach 250 lbs soon.

 

With all of that going on I have not had that much weight loss but I have maintained my weight loss from week 1. I am excited to see how the next 3 weeks go and will hopefully lose the 10 additional pounds I am hoping for. It will be tough with the holidays but I think I can do it. My goals are to stick to my diet and maybe slide in a couple craft beers here and there.
